Understanding Plan Limits and Archived Events
Understanding Plan Limits and Archived Events
Every Ripluo plan includes a set number of active events - 5 on Free, 15 on Plus, 50 on Pro, and 100+ on Enterprise. Here is how the limits work, what you see when you reach one, and how archiving keeps old events safe without counting against you.
Where to See Your Usage
The Events page and Dashboard show a running count like 7 of 15 active events alongside your plan name. On the Free plan, an amber banner appears as you approach the cap so the limit never surprises you.
What Happens at the Limit
If you try to create something past your plan's cap, Ripluo shows exactly what is going on: a message like "You've reached your events limit" with your usage (for example, 5 / 5), what the next plan includes, and an upgrade button with the price. Nothing is blocked silently, and nothing is deleted - you just cannot add more until you archive, complete, or upgrade.
Archiving Events (Plus and Above)
Finished events do not need to occupy an active slot. On Plus and higher plans, archived events don't count toward your limit:
- Archive an event when it is done - it keeps every schedule, budget, and file.
- Click Archived Events at the top of the Events page to see them all.
- From the archive you can View Details, Restore Event (bring it back to active), or Delete Permanently.
On the Free plan the Archived Events button opens the plans overview instead - archiving is one of the main reasons planners move to Plus.
Downgrading with Too Many Events
If you downgrade to a plan with a lower cap, your data is safe. Ripluo will ask you to archive enough events to fit the new plan's limit - for example, "You have 20 active events but the Plus plan allows 15. Select 5 events to archive."
Common Questions
Do archived events lose data? No. Everything is preserved and restorable.
What else has limits? Users, planners per event, vendor quotes, and Buildr AI credits all scale by plan - the same in-app message appears if you reach one, always with the exact numbers.
