Team Roles and Permissions in Ripluo, Explained
As your team grows past one person, "who can see what" starts to matter. Here is how access works across a Ripluo organization, from the owner down to each team member's individual permissions.
The Owner
The person who created the organization is its owner. The owner always has full access to everything, and some things are owner-only - most notably Settings > Billing, including payment history and receipts. Team members never see the owner's billing details.
Team Members
People you invite from Settings > Team join your organization and can work across its events. What each person can do is controlled in the Team Permissions section of the same page - per-member toggles covering areas like financial visibility, contact management, and event administration. Set them once when someone joins, adjust as their role changes.
Event-Level Access Sits on Top
Organization permissions are the baseline; individual events add two more controls:
- Planners: external collaborators invited to a single event (they never join your org).
- Financial Visibility (in each event's Settings): hide budgets, sponsorship amounts, and speaker payments from specific planners, or from org members who are not on the event.
So a full picture for one person = their org membership + their per-member permissions + any per-event financial restrictions.
Common Questions
Can I make someone else an admin? The account creator is the owner. Day-to-day capabilities for everyone else are managed through the per-member permission toggles in Settings > Team.
Why can't my teammate see a budget? Check two places: their permissions in Settings > Team, and the event's Financial Visibility card in the event's Settings tab.
