How to Use the Calendar View for Tasks and Events

When you are managing multiple events with dozens of tasks each, a flat checklist can only tell you so much. The calendar view in Ripluo pulls your task due dates and events onto a visual calendar so you can see the big picture - where your busy weeks are, where deadlines cluster, and what is coming up next. It is accessible from the main sidebar (not inside an individual event) so it shows everything across all your events in one place.
Step 1: Open the Calendar View
Click Calendar in the main sidebar (the one you see when you are on the dashboard, not inside an event). The calendar loads in month view by default, showing a traditional calendar layout with your events and task due dates plotted across the weeks.
Your events appear as blocks spanning their start and end dates. Task due dates from your checklists automatically appear on the calendar - you do not need to manually add them. If a task has a due date, it shows up here.
Step 2: Use the Month View to Spot Patterns
The month view gives you a bird's-eye view of your planning timeline. You can see at a glance which weeks are heavy with deadlines and which have breathing room. If you see five tasks due on the same day, that is a signal to spread them out or start earlier. The calendar makes these patterns visible in a way that a flat task list cannot.
Step 3: Zoom In with the Week View
Switch to the week view for a more detailed look at what is happening day by day. This is especially useful in the final weeks before an event when tasks are dense and deadlines are tight. The week view shows each day as a column with tasks and events listed chronologically.
Use the week view during your daily planning sessions to see exactly what needs to happen today, what is coming tomorrow, and what you need to prepare for later in the week. It turns your abstract task list into a concrete daily action plan.
Step 4: Focus with the Day View
The day view zooms all the way in to a single day. Use this when you want to see every task and event detail for a specific date - especially useful on event day or during a packed planning day when you need to stay focused on what is right in front of you.
Step 5: Click Through to Tasks and Events
Click on any task in the calendar view to jump directly to it in the checklist, where you can mark it complete, add notes, or reassign it. Click on an event to open that event's workspace. The calendar is a visual navigation layer on top of your existing data - everything stays linked.
