This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") is part of the Terms of Servicebetween Ripluo LLC ("Ripluo," "we," "our," or "us") and you ("User," "you," or "your"). It outlines what is and is not permitted when using the Ripluo platform, including the website at ripluo.com and the application at app.ripluo.com (collectively, the "Service").
This AUP supplements Section 6 (Acceptable Use) of our Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in enforcement actions as described in Section 6 below.
1. Permitted Use
The Service is designed for the following legitimate business purposes:
- Planning, organizing, and managing events (weddings, corporate events, social events, nonprofit events, and similar gatherings)
- Managing client relationships, contacts, and business leads
- Creating and sending proposals, contracts, and invoices to clients
- Collecting payments from clients for event services
- Collaborating with team members, vendors, and partners on event planning
- Using AI-assisted planning tools (Buildr AI) for event timelines, budgets, and checklists
- Communicating with clients and event attendees through the Service's messaging features
2. Prohibited Content
You may not upload, transmit, store, or share content through the Service that:
- Is illegal: Violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
- Is harmful or threatening: Promotes violence, harassment, bullying, intimidation, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age
- Is defamatory: Contains false statements of fact that damage the reputation of individuals or organizations
- Infringes intellectual property: Violates copyrights, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, or other intellectual property rights of third parties
- Contains malware: Includes viruses, trojans, ransomware, spyware, or any other malicious code designed to damage, interfere with, or gain unauthorized access to systems
- Is deceptive: Constitutes phishing, social engineering, or other attempts to fraudulently obtain sensitive information
- Is sexually explicit: Contains pornographic or obscene material
- Exploits minors: Contains or promotes child exploitation material of any kind
3. Prohibited Conduct
You may not engage in the following activities:
3.1 Unauthorized Access
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service, other users' accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the Service
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related system or network
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security features of the Service
- Use another user's account credentials without their authorization
3.2 Automated Access and Scraping
- Use automated scripts, bots, crawlers, or scrapers to access the Service without Ripluo's prior written permission
- Harvest, collect, or mine data from the Service through automated means
- Use the Service's API (where available) in a manner that exceeds published rate limits or is intended to disrupt the Service
3.3 Reverse Engineering
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Service or any part thereof
- Create derivative works based on the Service
- Copy, reproduce, or replicate the Service's features, functionality, or design for a competing product
3.4 Spam and Unsolicited Communications
- Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk communications (spam) to contacts who have not opted in to receive messages from you
- Import purchased or scraped contact lists into the Service
- Use the Service's email or messaging features to send communications that violate the CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR, or other applicable anti-spam laws
3.5 Service Abuse
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service
- Impose an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the Service's infrastructure
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without Ripluo's written permission
- Use the Service for any purpose other than its intended use as an event planning and CRM platform
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
4. Resource Usage
To ensure fair use and service quality for all users, the following resource limits apply:
- Storage: File uploads are subject to the storage limits of your subscription plan. Ripluo reserves the right to remove files that exceed plan limits after providing notice.
- API Rate Limits: API access (where available) is subject to rate limits as published in our API documentation. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary throttling.
- Email Sending: Emails sent through the Service (invoices, contract notifications, etc.) are subject to reasonable volume limits to prevent abuse and maintain deliverability.
5. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, we encourage you to report it to us immediately at support@ripluo.com. Please include:
- A description of the violation
- Any relevant evidence (screenshots, URLs, dates, etc.)
- The identity of the violating party, if known
Ripluo will investigate reports of AUP violations and take appropriate action. We will not retaliate against users who report violations in good faith.
6. Enforcement
Ripluo reserves the right to take any of the following actions in response to AUP violations, at our sole discretion:
- Warning: A written warning describing the violation and requesting immediate corrective action
- Content Removal: Removal of content that violates this AUP
- Feature Restriction: Temporary restriction of access to specific features (e.g., email sending, API access)
- Account Suspension: Temporary suspension of the account pending investigation
- Account Termination: Permanent termination of the account for severe or repeated violations
The severity of the enforcement action will be proportional to the nature, severity, and frequency of the violation. For first-time, non-egregious violations, Ripluo will generally issue a warning before taking more severe action. However, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate accounts for violations that pose an immediate threat to the Service, other users, or third parties.
Account termination for AUP violations is subject to the provisions in Section 7 (Account Suspension and Termination) of our Terms of Service.
7. Modifications to This Policy
Ripluo may update this AUP from time to time. We will provide at least 15 days' notice of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
